Mike Dieringer

Advisory Board Member

Mike grew up in a rural Midwest farming community and moved to southern California in his early 20’s shortly after graduating college to work in the aerospace industry. After experiencing a prolonged season of personal difficulties, he turned to God and was saved at the age of 30. Shortly after, God gave him insight into the needs of the Law Enforcement Community with a vision to minister to them not only by designing products to help them better perform their work, but to “speak” to Officers on a personal level by always behaving with a servant attitude. His employees now carry on with that same vision – which Mike strongly believes is why God has blessed him so abundantly since he received Christ.

Mike is an avid bow hunter and lover of God’s creation. He also enjoys fishing, skiing, hiking, travel, and being grandpa to Colton. Through his personal struggles and trials Mike has continued to persevere and remains determined to continue along a path of growth with the goal of becoming a mighty follower of Jesus. He is committed to a life-long pursuit of leading by example and growing into a stronger and more impactful man of God.

God has given Mike a heart for the orphan and the widow. He strongly believes in the Straightways vision and has committed not only his time, but his personal finances. His vested interest drives him to assure the Straightways organization always operates with transparency and is above reproach.

Gary Ganson

Local Community Outreach Director

Gary grew up in the South Bay as a troubled youth. He went from an abusive home to foster care before ending up a part of a gang in his community. In and out of trouble with the law, Gary spent most of his childhood living to survive. Continuing his gang life into adulthood, it wasn’t until Gary ended up in Prison for Life that he encountered the Holy Spirit and changed his life forever. After appealing his life sentence and winning, Gary spent the rest of his time pursuing God and a better life.

Because it was difficult to get work as an ex-felon, Gary decided to build his own company. Rehab Building Company is a very successful construction company started by three friends and now Gary owns this company himself along with his wife, Venus. Together they have built a life that is founded on the Lord and continue to seek His guidance in all that they do. Gary and Venus have been involved with Straightways from the beginning and have enjoyed watching it grow and evolve into the organization it is today.

Gary’s hard work and dedication to the Lord has given him so much to be grateful for in all of the blessings he has received. It’s his hearts desire to give back to his community and abroad and help in any way he can. Gary and Venus have been married for 13 years and have five children.

Shannon Dieringer

Secretary

Shannon was born and raised in the South Bay where she continues to reside today with her two year old son, Colton. She attended church at a young age and was involved in the church community throughout her youth. Her calling for people began at a very young age, but it was not until her adult life that she really began understanding what it meant to be in relationship with God. She believes suffering breeds compassion, and through her own struggles she has developed a passion for serving others. During her personal struggles she prayed that God would “break her heart for what breaks His”, and he began to do just that. Her two year old son Colton is her world, and she hopes to lead by example so he can have a heart to help those who are hurting.
